I have a new article up at Write Club!
The DA coloring contest is done I'll be pickin a winner by the end of the week. A lot of good submissions.
Finally, me and Shawna's project "3rd law" is on the roll. We picked up colorist Ryan Burt who's bringing a really interesting style to the project. CHeck it below.
Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 8:35PM It's been a while since I last posted due to some major developments I wasn't ready to talk about. Firstly and most importantly, in about 2 weeks Plan B: is becoming a webcomic. I've weighed a lot of options and done a lot of research before coming to this conclusion and the pros overwhelmingly eclipse the cons. I've learned a lot about making comics since I've started and I want to re-edit my books as I go. The print versions will still be available but the webcomic will be a sort of re-telling of the story already in place. The every1knows guys are working on it as we speak so you know it's going to be gorgeous.
I'm writing a weekly article on making comics called "How I f@#$ed up" over at Write club!. It's simply about the trials and tribulations of starting out on comics when you have no idea what you're doing. Sometime in the future I'll be on their podcast, more on that as it comes.
I started a coloring contest over at deviantart to promote the book. This has been a hell of a good time and I've had at least 50 contestants which is about 50 more than I was expecting. Contest ends on V-day so if you've got an inclination come on over and sign up.
I am just about ready to begin a new book called "3rd Law" with the insane-o talented Shawna Mills. It's about a memory thief in the distant future who is the embodiment newton's third law. This book will also take place in the Plan B: universe. You won't have to read one to read the other but if you do it will be fun to see how the past has impacted the future. I will of course be showing samples as it progresses.
Plan B: Book 3 starts next week. Me and Karl had a pow-wow the other night and he took down about 6 pages of notes. This is gonna be the best one yet.
Finally, I want to give out a special thank you to my editor and very good friend Mat Markert. He has been working really hard on cleaning up my scripts and is a very valuable member of the Plan B: verse.
Damn! I think that's everything, until next time!
Friday, January 15, 2010 at 12:48PM The third promo is up, you can find it in book 3 promo art. I'm also going to start writing a weekly column for these cats. I'm calling it, "How I f@#$ed up" it's about the mistakes you make starting into comics. ANd last but not least, Hugh Phiri did these cool little renderings of the original Plan B: crew, he switched the names on a few.

Friday, January 8, 2010 at 10:33AM So here's the plan, I'll be releasing new promo art every week. We already have 2 pieces here. I've been working tirelessly to get the book 3 script up and ready for Karl on Feb 1. Ya know that phrase, don't quit your day job? Yeah I did that.
